Annual Chili Cook-Off Set for March 5, 2022

Help the Arnold Chamber celebrate 33 years of yummy chili cooking and entertainment! This year’s event will be held at the Arnold Community Center on Saturday, March 5, 2022, with public sampling from 5-7 p.m. The awards program will begin at 7 p.m.

Along with sampling the homemade chili from the contestants, potato and chicken noodle soup will also be served. St. Agnes Catholic Church will be selling pies, just for some extra insurance that you don’t go home hungry.

Entertainment will be by Rascal Martinez, providing a challenging mix of rockabilly, folk, and country, with a subtext of Latin melodies.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the taste testing, People’s Choice, Mr. & Mrs. Congeniality, and Best Decorated Booth.

To help pass the time while the chili is cooking, contestants may participate in a corn hole tournament for free beginning at 1 p.m., with prizes awarded to the winners.

This is an Arnold Chamber-sponsored event. Contact Allison Goodenow with questions and for team registrations at (308) 870-3387. Team registration fee is $40, payable to Arnold Chamber.
