AEDC Begins Search for New Director

The AEDC is currently accepting applications for director.

The position was recently vacated by Sandy Hicks, who resigned to care for her aging father. “Sandy will be greatly missed, not only by the AEDC, but by many people and organizations in the community,” said AEDC President Andrew Tickle. “Sandy’s work and enthusiasm for Arnold was impressive and felt by many.”

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Arnold and small-town living and be responsible for promoting the economic stability, growth, and development of Arnold. Will be responsible for overseeing the use of LB840 tax funds and administer loans and grants to local businesses. Research and apply for grants, work to improve housing, and promote Arnold as a great place to live, do business, and visit. This position serves as a liaison between the businesses, school, and community. Will attend village and other organizational meetings as necessary. Reports to AEDC board.

Resumes may be submitted to Andrew Tickle 308-529-1919 or Lisa Nelson 731-412-7176 by January 26, 2015. Feel free to contact either number for more info or ask questions.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference for our community!
