
EVENTS FOR EVERYONE
It seems like every month there is a different event going on in Arnold. Good reason for that is because there is! From Devil’s Den Motorcycle poker runs to Halloween contests, there is something for everyone. Come and enjoy any or all of these events. SANDHILLS OPEN ROAD CHALLENGE
America’s most challenging open road race is the Sandhills Open Road Challenge! SORC is a 55-mile road race held on a winding two-lane blacktop road through the steep Devil’s Den canyons and into the rolling Sandhills. This three-day annual event held the second weekend in August attracts drivers, families, and spectators from all over the U.S. and is the only race of its kind in the state of Nebraska. Over 100 cars participate in this challenging race. In addition to the road race, the three-day event includes a half-mile and one-mile shoot-out, a car parade, car show, burn-out contest, grudge match drag races, a free-will donation public barbecue, and an awards ceremony. CHILI COOK-OFF
The Arnold Chili Cook-Off falls on or near St. Patrick’s Day at the Arnold Community Center. Everyone has fun. Come taste various styles of chili and vote for your favorite. Support the creative teams featuring unique booth decorations and secret chili recipes. Prizes are awarded to the best-decorated booth and the best tasting chili. EASTER ACTIVITIES
All ages enjoy the annual Easter Egg Hunt held in April at the Arnold City Park. This family event is fun to watch as young children scramble to find the most Easter eggs. 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS
Everyone loves to watch fireworks. Arnold’s spectacular display of fireworks begins at dusk at the Old Mill Park while patriotic music plays throughout the display. FALL FESTIVAL
The annual Fall Festival has returned! Take in the community parade, shooting events, kiddie/pet parade, miniature golf, kids’ games, contests, community barbecue, and more. Join us in September for some good old-fashioned family fun!

JUNK JAUNT
As an official stop on the Junk Jaunt tour, you’ll find antiques, collectibles, and treasures you just can’t live without at Arnold’s local vendors! The Junk Jaunt is one big yard sale spread across 300+ miles and 35-40 communities in central Nebraska. Held the last weekend in September. For more information, visit www.junkjaunt.com.

GARAGE SALES
One can always find treasure at someone’s garage sale! Each year the first Saturday in June is designated as the day for Arnold’s community-wide garage sales. The hunt for bargains is part of the fun! Keep up to date on all events and times on the Arnold Chamber Facebook page.

FARMER’S MARKET
The Farmer’s Market began in Arnold in the summer of 2002. Vendors provide a wide variety of fresh baked goods, homemade jellies, fresh farm eggs, tomatoes, sweet corn and other homegrown vegetables, herbs, fruit, RADA cutlery, pure oils for cooking and health, Watkins products, crafts, and more. New vendors are always welcome; there is no charge. The Farmer’s Market is held downtown on South Walnut Street beginning at 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. every Thursday starting in June. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to buy locally grown foods and delicious homemade goodies.

DEVIL’S DEN BIKE SHOW & RALLY
Join us for Arnold’s annual Devil’s Den Bike Show and Poker Run in July. This event is packed full of activities for everyone from a show and shine, poker run, and dyna machine to a beer belly contest, arm wrestling contest, crowning of Miss Devil’s Den, and great bands. It’s a day of fun in the sun, cold drinks, good music, and great friends. This great event also serves as a fundraiser to benefit some great causes. Fantastic reason to have fun! HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL, COSTUME CONTEST AND PARADE
Join Arnold’s young ghosts, goblins, pirates, and princesses as they meet at the Arnold Community Center for a fun filled day or trick or treating, costume contests, pumpkin decorating contests, games, and more. CHRISTMAS AROUND TOWN
Step back in time to join our townsfolk for an old-fashioned “Christmas Around Town.” Stroll through our town while enjoying the ambiance of traditional holiday street décor and music in the air. Special shopping hours, sales, and drawings are featured at many downtown businesses, and a free movie is shown at the Rialto Theatre for the kids. Bring your family and dine at the soup and sandwich supper at the community center and enjoy a visit with Santa Claus and live reindeer too. Typically held the second Wednesday of December. Arnold Community Fundraiser
If Arnold holds a special place in your heart, make plans to attend the annual Arnold Community Foundation Fund banquet and auction. It’s a fun social event and all funds raised will help build the foundation’s unrestricted endowment—an account that provides a steady stream of resources for community needs, projects, programs, and future opportunities.
