July 12-13, 2024, is the date for this year’s annual Devil’s Den Motorcycle Rally.
This year’s event will be held at the Arnold Recreation Area Friday night through Saturday night. Activities take place next to the lake and near the bathhouse/restrooms. Camping is available.
Friday’s event is free admission, with gates opening at 5 p.m. Come feed your family with food by Joel Morgan featuring pizza and concessions and enjoy the biker games, Kinkaider craft beer and adult drinks, and good ole rock ‘n’ roll guitar music by local musician Craig Furne Experience. There will also be karaoke later in the evening.
Saturday is a full day of activities with breakfast burritos served by the After Prom committee starting at 8 a.m., the bike show and shine at 9:30 a.m., and poker run at 11 a.m. The poker run route travels a scenic route from Arnold to Anselmo, Sargent, Broken Bow, and Callaway, ensuring you’ll catch some breathtaking views of the area’s green hills. This offers some of the prettiest views in the state!
A barbecue meal by Joel Morgan and served by the South Loup Bobcats cheerleaders can be enjoyed by poker run participants from 4:30-7 p.m., as well as anyone who wants a night off from cooking. Admission is $10 for those not in the poker run (10 and under free), and the meal is a free will offering. Kinkaider craft beer as well as all your standard beer and drinks will be on hand to quench your thirst. Minors 14 and under must leave by 9 p.m.
Be prepared for some loud bikes and a lot of smoke from the burnout pit during the evening…and the night wouldn’t be complete without a few fireworks over the lake.
Music is a special treat this year—back by popular demand is Phil Koubek Project, featuring hometown musicians Phil Koubek and Ty Phillips, who will be playing tracks from their first two albums. Arnold resident Craig Furne will start off the evening, followed by Phil Koubek Project, and Hookt will finish out the evening playing your favorite 80s cover rock songs from AC/DC, Poison, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, and more.
Later Saturday evening will be the crowning of Miss Devil’s Den, a Beer Belly Contest, giveaways, and a live auction. Proceeds raised from the auction/event will go to local organizations and charities including the Arnold TeamMates chapter, autism awareness and support at Arnold Public School, and a fund for supporting local families impacted by suicide.
It’s going to be a great weekend! See you all there!
